EasyReel Privacy Policy

EasyReel ("EasyReel", "we", "us", or "our") provides AI-assisted script, image, and video creation tools. This Privacy Policy applies to the EasyReel mobile app and related services. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, how long we retain it, and how you can control it.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: email address, username, login method, account identifiers, subscription or credit entitlement status, and account settings.
• User content: scripts, prompts, project titles, character and scene descriptions, reference images, generated images, generated videos, and public works you choose to publish to the plaza. Photos or videos that you upload for AI generation are used for recognition and generation only and are not permanently stored by EasyReel as original uploaded files.
• Face data: if photos or videos you upload contain a face, the image or video may include facial geometry, facial appearance, facial landmarks, or other face-related visual characteristics that are processed by AI services to generate or edit content. EasyReel uses this face data for recognition and AI generation only and does not use it to identify or authenticate a person.
• Usage and device data: app version, device type, operating system, language, feature events, crash logs, diagnostics, and approximate network information used for security, analytics, and service reliability.
• Purchase data: App Store transaction identifiers, product identifiers, subscription status, renewal status, and credit usage records. Payments are processed by Apple.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information when you create an account, sign in, enter prompts or scripts, upload photos or videos, generate AI content, publish content to the plaza, report or block content, contact us, or use app features. Some technical and usage data is collected automatically when you use the app.

3. How We Use Information

• To create and manage your account, projects, credits, subscriptions, and generated content.
• To provide AI-assisted script generation, character and scene extraction, image generation, video generation, template generation, rendering, and related content creation features.
• To process uploaded photos, videos, reference images, prompts, scripts, and face data only as needed to recognize input content and provide the AI generation feature requested by you. EasyReel does not permanently store the original uploaded photos or videos after this processing.
• To operate public plaza features, including publishing, viewing, reporting, blocking, filtering objectionable content, and moderation.
• To detect abuse, enforce our Terms of Use, protect users, prevent fraud, and maintain service security.
• To improve app performance, troubleshoot issues, provide support, and understand feature usage.

4. Third-Party AI Services and Sharing

EasyReel uses third-party AI service providers to generate scripts, images, and videos. Depending on the selected feature or model, the data sent may include prompts, scripts, project descriptions, character descriptions, scene descriptions, uploaded photos, uploaded videos, reference images, generated intermediate assets, and face data contained in those materials. Original uploaded photos and videos are used for recognition and generation only and are not permanently stored by EasyReel as original uploaded files.

These materials may be sent to EasyReel backend services and third-party AI providers configured for the requested feature, including Kling AI, PAI Video, Seedance/ByteDance (including Seedance 2.0), Grok/xAI, GPT Image, or equivalent AI providers. We require service providers to protect personal data with the same or equivalent level of protection required by this Privacy Policy and to process it only to provide the requested service, maintain security, comply with law, or as otherwise disclosed in their applicable terms.

Generated content, project records, account information, credit records, and moderation records are stored on EasyReel backend systems or cloud service providers used to operate the app. Third-party AI providers may temporarily process or store submitted materials on their own systems as needed to provide the AI result, maintain security, and comply with their legal obligations. EasyReel does not permanently store original uploaded photos or videos after recognition and generation are complete.

Before the app sends user content to a third-party AI service, EasyReel presents an in-app notice that explains what data may be sent, identifies the third-party AI service category, and asks for your permission. If you do not agree, the AI feature will not continue.

5. Face Data

What face data is collected?

EasyReel does not ask you to scan your face for identity verification. Face data is processed only when you choose to upload photos or videos that contain faces, or when generated/reference images contain faces. The data may include the face image itself and face-related visual characteristics necessary for AI generation, such as facial appearance, pose, expressions, and landmarks. Original uploaded photos or videos are used for recognition and generation only and are not permanently stored by EasyReel as original uploaded files.

How is face data used?

Face data is used only to provide the AI content generation or editing feature you request, such as recognizing the uploaded image or video, generating a video from an uploaded photo, keeping a character visually consistent, creating first or last frames, or rendering a storyboard clip. EasyReel does not use face data to identify you, authenticate you, build a biometric profile, advertise to you, or sell your information.

Is face data shared with third parties?

Yes, if you use an AI feature that requires processing an uploaded or generated image or video containing a face, that content and the face data within it may be shared with EasyReel backend services and third-party AI providers, including Kling AI, PAI Video, Seedance/ByteDance (including Seedance 2.0), Grok/xAI, GPT Image, or equivalent providers configured for the feature. The data is used to process and deliver the requested AI result. EasyReel does not permanently store the original uploaded photos or videos after recognition and generation are complete.

Where is face data stored?

EasyReel does not permanently store the original uploaded photos or videos that may contain face data. Generated images, generated videos, project assets, and related records that may contain face data are stored in your EasyReel account on EasyReel backend systems or cloud service providers until you delete the content or delete your account. Third-party AI providers may temporarily process or store submitted materials on their own systems as needed to provide the requested AI result, maintain security, and comply with their legal obligations.

How long is face data retained?

Original photos or videos that you upload for AI generation are not permanently stored by EasyReel; they are used for recognition and generation only. AI-generated content, including generated images and videos that may contain faces, is retained in your account so you can access your projects and generated works until you delete the content or delete your account. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify account data and user content associated with the account, subject to legal, security, backup, and transaction record requirements. Third-party AI providers may retain data according to their own processor terms and legal obligations.

6. Public Plaza and User-Generated Content

If you publish generated content to the plaza, other users may view it along with your display name, avatar, title, and related public metadata. Users can report objectionable content and block creators in the app. Blocking hides that creator's works from the user's plaza experience, and reports may notify EasyReel for review. Reported content may be reviewed and removed, and accounts that provide abusive or objectionable content may be suspended or removed. 7. Account Deletion

You can initiate account deletion in the app from the profile/account page by selecting "Delete account" and confirming the deletion. After deletion, the app signs you out and we delete or de-identify account data and user content associated with your account, subject to legal, security, backup, and transaction record requirements.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, process purchases, enforce agreements, and support account deletion or moderation records. Original uploaded photos and videos used for AI generation are not permanently stored by EasyReel after recognition and generation are complete. Generated content and project assets are retained while your account is active or until you delete them or delete your account, subject to the exceptions described above.

9. Your Choices

• You may decline the third-party AI notice. The related AI feature will not continue.
• You may avoid uploading photos or videos that contain personal data or faces.
• You may choose not to publish generated content to the public plaza.
• You may report objectionable public content and block creators in the plaza.
• You may delete your account in the app.
